YTT EAST

A super-fun tour of the Eastern United States for boys and girls finishing 8th grade.
 

Our Eastern tour starts out from New York and goes through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland while doing great stuff and fun activities all along the way.

 

Have a blast doing great activities such as horseback riding, speed boating, hiking, Zorbing, paddle surfing and rafting, plus lots of major attractions such as the Willis (Sears) Tower, top rated Cedar Point Amusement Park, and the Gateway Arch, among many others. You would be surprised how many great sites, attractions and activities we pack into 22 days.

 

Achva East is specifically geared for post 8th-graders with a great combination of exciting sites and fun attractions as well as some educational and spiritually refreshing activities as well. We will spend Shabbat together with some great Jewish communities such as Chicago, IL, and Memphis, TN where you will get to know the friendly locals and have a relaxing Shabbat to rest up from a week of non-stop activities and travel.

Aug. 2 - Depart, Ropes Course Challenge, Introduction and Orientation

Aug. 3 - Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, Kayaking at Camp Hi, Whirlyball, Cleveland, OH

Aug. 4 - Ghostly Manor Thrill Center, Cedar Point Amusement Park

Aug. 5 - Head to Chicago, Sports

Aug. 6 - Group Shabbat in Chicago, Night: Skating

 

Week 2) Mid-West: Chicago, St. Louis, and Memphis

Aug. 7 - Chesed Program, Speed Boat, Navy Pier, Millenium Park

Aug. 8 - Sears (Willis)Tower, Michigan Avenue, Ken's Diner

Aug. 9 - On to St. Louis, MO, Gateway Arch

Aug. 10 - St. Louis Zoo, Anheuser Busch, Six Flags St. Louis

Aug. 11 - Busch Stadium Tour, travel to Memphis

Aug. 12 - Peabody Ducks, Graceland, Memphis, TN

Aug. 13 - Group Shabbat in Memphis, Night: Eicha

 

Week 3) The Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee

Aug. 14 -  Tisha B'Av - Civil Rights Museum

Aug. 15 - Smokey Mountain N.P.: Clingman's Dome, Horseback Riding

Aug. 16 - Whitewater Rafting, Wonderworks, Go-Karting

Aug. 17 - The Biltmore, Ashville, NC, Head to Charlotte

Aug. 19 - Travel to Richmond, VA, Outlet Mall
